
Where to stay?
You should book your accomodation early (ideally before end of October) to secure the best location and rates.
On this page you find information about hotels in Colombo and accomodation in the south of Sri Lanka (Weligama/Mirissa) and the dates you need to book your accomodation. There is no option to stay at the actual wedding venues, but in Colombo, part of the event will likely happen at Galle Face Hotel.
When staying in Weligama/Mirissa you have maximum 20 minutes drive from the wedding venue. More information about transportation to the venue will be given in detail later.

The welcome ceremony will take place in Colombo - the capital of Sri Lanka and our home city. For those coming to the welcome ceremony you would need accomodation in central Colombo from 18-19 February.
Below we have a list of recommended hotels for various styles and budgets. Please go ahead and book your preferred stay yourself. You can also check Hotels.com and Booking.com if better rates are offered there.

Galle Face Hotel
Galle Face Hotel is a historic colonial-era seafront hotel and landmark. It has been around since 1864 and is worth a visit even if you are not staying here.
Cinnamon Red Hotel
Cinnamon Red is a central mid-range hotel in Colombo. We have stayed here a few times and calles for a budget friendly option in the capital.
Alma Hostel Colombo
Cozy hostel and garden cafe in Colombo. Dorms and private rooms are available for budget friendly option when staying in Colombo.
Rooms from 50$ per night and doorms from 16$ per night.
ITC Ratnadipa
Luxury seaside hotel in Colombo. Expect gold, glam, infinity pool and a huge breakfast buffet!
Lake Lodge (Nyne Hotels)
Lake Lodge is part of Nyne artistic hotel group (and known to us as “Taru”). Hidden boutique hotel close to our house and we frequently come here for breakfast.

Granbell Hotel
Granbell hotel gives you Japanese minimalistic style in the middle of Colombo. Great rooftop bar with occasional live music and a great pool.
Weligama & Mirissa: 19-21 February
The wedding ceremony, reception and recovery party will take place in Weligama/Mirissa. You will need accomodation in this area from 19 February until Saturday 21 February (but probably until Sunday 22 if you are attending the Recovery Party on Saturday.)
Another option here is to book a villa (with private pool, several bedrooms, gardens ++) The best option is to book through Airbnb or Eden Villas. Note that many villas come with staff for cooking, cleaning and security so do take a look at what is included at your stay. This is a nice option for a unique stay in Sri Lanka and something we highly recommend.

Kima is a chic looking surf resort in Weligama. We have never stayed here, but it looks fresh and have received good ratings. A budget friendly option.
